I am a Professional Potty Trainer

We help parents — mostly mamas, just like you — who are feeling at a loss of where to start, overwhelmed and/or discouraged on their pottying journey to gain the confidence, know-how and support needed in order to get their child out of diapers. How can we help you?

How do I start?

Learn how to start potty training - the prep work you can do in advance, how to prepare your child and the actual methods you can choose in order to utilize your Pottying Personality, parenting preferences and family values.

I have specific questions!

Wish you had a potty training "secret weapon" to ask all your questions to? Now you can!

If you're like most of our clients...

You are a loving parent who is trying desperately to be the best parent you can be...but somehow in the age of microwaves, technological advances and PhD's you were never taught how to potty train. You are a committed to helping your child along their pottying journey but either you're not sure how to start, you've hit a roadbump, or you're at a loss of how to finish things up. When it comes down to it, you want to help your child be completely out of diapers.

Catch is something has been stopping you: maybe you've been waiting on your child, maybe you've been procrastinating, maybe you just wanted to know you'd have support along the way. Maybe this client's story sounds like a fantasy to you:

"I would like to thank you again for our chat/consultation. We have hit a major improvement in potty training our daughter; whereby, she is now asking to go toilet (which she never did previously!) and also going with minimal accidents if any at all.

She has also been at nursery all day today and not one accident. I couldn't be more proud of her, but also so glad the potty training challenge and our consultation helped me realise what was important to us and helped me gain the confidence I obviously needed because now it's working!

...I still can't believe it so thank you forever from the bottom of our hearts!"

How are you feeling? Be Real.

  • Overwhelmed at the idea of potty training?
  • Paralyzed by fear of the unknown?
  • Jazzed to start, but not sure how to?
  • Wishing you had some magic genie to ask all your potty training questions to?

If you are, you are not alone. All parents have had these fears.

I Get It.

As a mother of three - I know what it likes to feel overwhelmed at the next parenting "job", to be fearful of not being adequately prepared to tackle the task, and to feel like you "missed" some class about child-rearing you should have taken. We mamas are balancing households, babies, pregnancies, dinner, and some have other jobs as well! How do we ever do it?!

I only wished I had the community that The Potty School has.

As a former employee of "Corporate America", as a mother, and now as an entrepreneur I have come to the realization that I can be an expert in some things...but I can't be an expert in all things. Parenting isn't about becoming an expert at all things, it's about loving and caring for your child - and asking for help along the way.

When I finally figured that out I was able to enjoy the little moments so much more...and to have the bandwidth for rainy day puddle splashing and our favorite, sand castles at the beach...to experience the true joy of motherhood.

Out of Diapers can be a Reality

These days I don't worry about potty training. My 4-year-old and 2-year-old have been both been out of diapers for quite some time and my 10-month-old, we practice Elimination Communication with her and I'm confident she'll be out of diapers within the year, if not much, much sooner.

I now support over 900 families in the Potty Training Support Group and have helped hundreds of clients this year alone along their pottying journey. I am also the founder of The Potty School The Member Club, an online membership site that helps mamas get their potty training related questions answered so they can get their kiddos out of diapers.

I am also a speaker and the creator of The Potty School's Potty Training Coloring Book and The Potty School's Elimination Communication Coloring Book.

You Just Need Some Support

Let me provide that support for you. I'd love to be your virtual potty training mentor, by helping you to venture through the challenges and celebrate the successes so that you can be both successful at and enjoy the potty training journey.

You don't have to be fearful. You don't need to continue to feel overwhelmed. And, you don't have to choose between getting the job done, and enjoying the process. You can reach both goals, at the same time.

Now is the time to take action. You can start either by joining the 5-Day Potty Training Plan Challenge, or by booking a 10-minute Discovery Consultation call...or both, they're both complimentary - my gift to you. You'll also be joining the ever-growing e-newsletter community, which comes with a special surprise your kiddo will enjoy as well.

What is The Potty School?

Is it a building? Is it a method? Who uses The Potty School?

The Potty School is based in Orange County, CA and is a means to provide parents a way to learn about how to potty their children.

We support parents throughout their family's pottying journey. From "ah! Where do I start?!" to troubleshooting "My kiddo keeps hiding behind the couch to poop in his diaper!" to finishing the potty training journey "how do we get rid of the Pull-Ups (R)?"

We provide training & resources online (free-5-Day Potty Training Plan ChallengePottying Plan and Pottying Package), provide personalized consultations (phone, video chat and via email), and teach classes in-person and online...if you need help, we'll figure out a way to support you.

We help parents with babies and children of all ages. The Potty School can help you if:

  • You have a baby, (ages 0-18 months) and you're wanting to learn what Elimination Communication is and start pottying during the baby stages

  • You have a toddler (12-18 months) and you're wanting to capitalize on their "sensitive period of learning" (a theory of Maria Montessori, practiced at Montessori schools)

  • You have a pre-school-aged child (ages 2, 3 & 4) and are ready to potty train, or have waited for "signs of readiness" and need help navigating what those look like for your child, or have seen them and decided to start...or if you think people 2 generations ago didn't wait for "readiness signs" and didn't depend on disposables...why not start (and be successful) now, like they did?

  • You have a school-aged child with non-medical pottying troubles (such as discussing bedwetting options, getting on a routine so there aren't accidents out and about, etc.)

  • You have a child with special needs and need help navigating and troubleshooting the specific issues your family encounters, that others don't (including, but not limited to: sensory sensitivity, physical delays, speech delays, genetic disorders, emotional delays. Though we don't claim to be medical or psychological professionals, most children can still be potty trained, using techniques adapted to your family's special situation)

  • You as a parent, are in a unique potty training situation for the unique challenges that you personally face, while potty training and could use specialized support (situations such as single-parent, city-dwelling, rural-dwelling, LGBT bathroom usage, no family support, traveling, apartment-dwelling, spouse not on board, full-time working, child is in daycare)

Our clients have included:

  • Stay-at-home Moms, Dads, and Grandparents

  • Full-time working parents:

    • some jobs they have held are: doctor, behavior analyst, nurse, foster Mom, In-n-Out cashier, professor, school teacher, dog boarding manager, to name a few

  • Parents in specialized situations:

    • such as: single-parent, no family support, traveling, apartment-dwelling, LGBT bathroom usage, spouse not on board, child is in daycare, city/rural-dwelling, severe cold/hot environments
