Diaper & Wipes Costs in 2025

According to Gemini a year's worth of diapers & wipes is expected to rise to between $1,100 and $3,000+ this year.

Think about that.

How Much Money Can You Save By Potty Training?

If your child is 3-years-old right now and we use a 529 investment calculator (a calculator to save for your child's college) and you save the same amount of money that you are spending monthly on diapers each month until they graduated high school, you could save at least $21,000 by the time they graduate. That is CRAZY. That is almost an entire year's worth of a 4-year in-state school's tuition by the time they get that old...and we're throwing that away. Physically, we are throwing the diapers and wipes in the trash...and thus money that could be invested in their future.

Let's start believing in our children's abilities, instead of throwing diapers in the landfill.

I encourage you to throw it in a 529 bank account. Our family banks at Chase and we like their other products as well. They have credit cards with kickbacks for opening from a referral link like this one.

The cost of diapering isn't just about diapers and wipes.

It's about the cost of not letting kids be who they are able to be. They weren't born with diapers on, so let's train them out of them (since we did train them into them in the first place it's kind of our job).

When we come up with prices at The Potty School we keep in line with the philosophy that one 45-minute consultation with us will take off a minimum of 3-months of diapers & wipes expenses in your life, so we price it accordingly. Not only will your child be out of diapers sooner, but you will stop paying for diapers and wipes sooner as well.

Let's be the difference makers our children need us to be. Let's encourage them to do what they are able to do, in a loving, supportive way.

Who is Doing the Potty Training?

In our Potty Training Support Group with over 62K families, so many are soley in charge of potty training. Often, this also relates single bread-winners in the family as well. When money is tight, we don't want that getting wasted, and neither do you!

We would love to help guide your family out of diapers and towards flushing...the toilet, not money down the drain.
